Marriage Conversations

In September, a group of Grace members and friends gathered to discuss and work through the materials on marriage and the trial rites for same sex marriage that came out of this past summer's General Convention of the Episcopal Church. At the end of its work, the group proposed that Grace move forward with offering the rites as of November 29, 2015. A report was forwarded to the vestry and at its meeting on November 4, the Vestry unanimously agreed to move forward with the rites. That material is available here

For background and to learn more about the rites, the theology of marriage, and other matters pertaining to same sex marriage, see the following items:

The Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music developed the liturgies, a discussion guide, and offered additional resources.

All of that material is available here

Bishop Miller's letter announcing his decision about using the trial rites is here.
